I personally don’t know if the world would be any worse without amount of books there already are. Honestly there are already not that many teenagers who read for pleasure anymore but as we get older we realize the value of books. I would not want there to not be books anymore however I just don’t think that things would ultimately change that much if there were potentially none printed. However if there was no way to have books online to read or have for classes such as college courses then things might be worse without books. Books are still a great informational source and should be influence be not pushed upon children and teens in schools. Books should not be eliminated completely because then history would be lost and there would be little ways to recored new history if the world of technology came to and end. Therefore books should stay available and not be eliminated completely or ever.
I would have to agree in that just because there are no more printed books does not mean that imagination or stories (which that is all a book really is at it’s core) would cease to exist. The world evolved and came to be what it is today without the books we have now and as they leave I feel a new form of media will begin to take it’s place, may it be song, stories or even dance.
I would have to say that if we look at many of the things we study say the ancient Egyptians who did not have full books but did have ways of writing, they showed history through art which is still being depicted today! A book is a means for information but it is NOT the only means and at times I do not feel it is even the best source, but in the world we are starting to change to where people are not being interpersonal with each other and would rather text, books may in fact be the best source for those people.
