I think that it all depends on the financial and money making aspect. If the company were to produce less thought-provoking films it would potentially bring in more viewers because there are so many other thought-provoking films out there that people look to watch them. However, there is also an upside to producing banal fare because they could as well bring in more viewers. More viewers would potentially watch the banal fare films because it is something new that they don’t always see. The viewers would have a new variety of films to watch. It all comes down to numbers with viewers and which one is going to bring more viewers in. I think it would be nice to switch it up and maybe produce banal fare films for a while for something new and see what the numbers turn out to be. If that simply does not work then there is always the fall back to thought-provoking films.
