If the studio is struggling to make profit, then there is something that calls for a change, if switching to banal fare movies is something that is going to save the studio then I think that the change should happen. You don’t have to stop making thought-provoking films, you can always come back to it, think of something that is going to change the game while you are making movies that people love to see, which is often banal fare type movies.
